The UNDIP delegation team succeeded in making another achievement in its contribution to the 2022 Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) by winning a gold medal. Held on 16-19 November 2022 at COEX, Seoul, South Korea and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) as the executor. The event has become an event where inventors and researchers from around the world showcase new ideas and products to manufacturers, investors, distributors, licensing companies and the general public. SIIF itself was only inaugurated in 2002 to market and promote the invention. Currently SIIF operates under the auspices of the City of Seoul, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA).
One member of the Undip delegation team who passed to get gold was an anthropology student, Nafis Firdaus Nuzula (class of 2018) by presenting the title Smart Greenhouse innovation: Artificial Neural Network Method for Environmental Prediction. In this prestigious event which was attended by more than 477 innovation works from 16 countries, all the innovations that pass at the SIIF event are expected to be solutions to solve problems by creating innovations in the field of science. And in particular, the involvement of Undip students in SIIF can also show that there is active participation in the global-learning environment and understanding of various issues at the global level. Thus, this achievement succeeded in showing Undip as a research university on the world stage.
