The PKM-VGK Smart Power BUMDes team has successfully passed the national selection and is set to advance to the National Student Scientific Week 2023, scheduled from November 26 to December 1, 2023, at Jatinangor and Dipati Ukur Campuses, Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung. The Smart Power BUMDes team champions Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 7, Clean and Renewable Energy, representing Diponegoro University at PIMNAS with the proposal title “Smart Power BUMDes Sebagai Sistem Integrasi Pengelolaan Bioenergi Melalui Collaborative Local Business Guna Mewujudkan Desa Berenergi Bersih Dan Terbarukan” (Smart Power BUMDes as an Integrated System for Managing Bioenergy Through Collaborative Local Business to Realize Clean and Renewable Energy Villages).
PKM-VGK, a branch of the Student Creativity Program (PKM), emphasizes constructive problem-solving ideas communicated through video content on social media. The Smart Power BUMDes team comprises Dian Komalasari, a Cultural Anthropology undergraduate student, Ariya Permana Putra, an Electrical Engineering undergraduate student, Hasna Asti Fatihah, an Urban and Regional Planning undergraduate student, Abdulloh Ahmad Hanifan, an Electrical Engineering undergraduate student, and Rafi Rendian Sulaksono, a Cultural Anthropology undergraduate student.
“The team’s dual academic backgrounds, STEM and social sciences, allow for a multifaceted approach, addressing both social and technological aspects,” expressed Ifan, a member of the Smart Power BUMDes team. Furthermore, this PKM highlights BUMDes (Badan Usaha Milik Desa / Village-Owned Enterprises) that will integrate collaborative local businesses, referred to as Smart Power BUMDes, emphasizing the involvement of community institutions as representations of community-owned businesses.
With diverse academic backgrounds, the team demonstrates that innovation knows no disciplinary boundaries. Through the integration of local business collaboration utilizing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), they offer great promise in realizing villages reliant on clean and renewable energy.
